Cuba will never again be what it is today.

The time to go is now!

Up and coming photo intensive!

February 19 - 26 2026

Got me out of my comfort zone with photography and interacting with local people. Adria has a gift with the camera as well as local people, if you want to take better pictures with your iPhone you should goto Cuba with her, it was AWESOME! Fall 2018

Up your Photography game

Learn to take full control of your iPhone. We’ll cover focus, depth of field, exposure, digital vs. optical zooms, aspect ratios, and the power of Portrait Mode, Time Lapse, Slow Mo, and Live.

Most people don’t realize how capable the iPhone really is. Once you understand the tools, you’ll never see it the same way again.

Then we head into the streets to practice portraits, lighting, composition, and street photography. This is slow travel—patience, presence, and real connection. It’s how you’ll create meaningful images and experience Cuban culture more deeply. And if you prefer a different camera, bring it. All cameras are welcome and every photographer will fall in love with these streets.

Slow Travel

Slow Travel

Noelle and Mark were curious about photography, but unsure about making it the focus of their trip. I won’t say this style of travel is for everyone, but it was the perfect fit for them. They discovered that when photography leads the way, you naturally slow down and absorb your surroundings more deeply. Standing on a corner waiting for the shot with the light teaches you how people move, connect, and live within a city.

For many travelers, this is the missing piece—the shift from simply seeing a place to truly witnessing it. As Noelle said, “it can be a transformative experience.” And in my experience, that transformation often arrives unexpectedly.

If you’re looking for something deeper—and Havana is on your mind—I’d love to host your week in Cuba.

I offer both private and family trips. If that feels right for you, just let me know.

All the details

Sit back, relax, and let me be your guide. You’ll handle your flight to Havana, but once you arrive, most expenses are covered. We’ll stay six nights in a beautifully remodeled Colonial Casa, with private bedrooms and bathrooms—each with A/C, hot water, and a small fridge. Dinner is included each night, along with coffee and light breakfasts when we’re not heading out early.

During the day, food, mojitos, cigars, and souvenirs are on you. A day trip to Viñales and all transportation in Havana are included. Every journey is a little different—I’m always discovering new people and experiences to share. Once the group is set, I connect with each traveler to weave in unique interests and make the trip truly personal.
