Experiencing Cuba is like stepping back in time. Everyday life in Havana happens on the streets – soccer, baseball, dominoes, women hanging laundry and screaming at their kids. There is music everywhere, old cars cruising the Malećon with the top down, and men getting a shave or a haircut on the sidewalk. Oh wait, was that wagon full of ducks? Yes, this is Cuba!
As a photographer I am taken by the decaying streets, the historical architecture, and of course, the cars. The men, woman, kids, barbers, boxers and the streets of Old Havana inspire creativity. It is through this creative spirit that one begins to understand Cuba.
A love of photography has introduced me to the the Cuban people and culture. We will spend 7 days being inspired and gaining a brief but powerful understanding of Havana, its people and it’s culture. At this time it is safe, politically feasible, and easy to travel to Cuba. I have no doubt that it will be an experience to remember. Don’t wait too long – only 6 spots are available on this exclusive trip.
